Board Members

The GPCA Board consists of five (5) unpaid volunteers, elected by the Community, each serving a 2-year term.

Civic Association meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room of the Grandwood Park Park District Community Center on Hutchins Road.

These meetings are open to all residents of the community and attendance is encouraged! Your suggestions, ideas and comments are welcomed by the Board at these meetings.

Charles A. Dawson III

Current Term:2017

Also known as Chuck, Charlie, and even ChuckCharlie to a few long-time residents. He first moved here here in 1981 as a baby, but left around a year later. The Dawson family returned in 1988 with another baby, his sister, where they still reside. During this time he was able to grow up in the same neighborhood as his dad did, making lifelong friends and many memories.

Eventually Chuck left for college and a career. In 2010, he returned with his wife, Meghan, to start a family of his own. One dog, two daughters, and six years later, he's now ready to officially work with his fellow neighbors, the Park District, and Civic Association.

Outside of work and time with family and friends, he enjoys riding his bike, paddling a kayak, playing golf, or shooting pool. If you see him out, stop him to say Hello!
