Welcome to the Grandwood Park Park District Preschool

"Where every child is made to feel special in our own little corner of the world"

The Grandwood Park Park District Preschool, founded in 1979, offers an educational and nurturing atmosphere in which our children can grow and thrive.

We offer 2 programs for your children. Our Mickey Mouse Class is designed for children who have reached the age of 4 on or before September 1st and is in session from 9:00-11:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The Donald Duck Class is for children who have reached the age of 3 on or before September 1st and is in session from 9:00-11:00 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both programs offer a social and academic curriculum and are held in the Grandwood Park Park District Community Center (see address below).

Each class is visited by The Mad Scientist twice a year, the Warren-Newport Public Library Bookmobile once a month, and our music teacher once a month. We also take two (2) field trips each year; a pumpkin farm in the fall and in the spring we either visit the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview or we attend a production at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theater.

TUITION FREEZE FOR THE 2012/13 SCHOOL YEAR

Open house/registration for the 2012/13 school year will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 1:00-3:00pm at the Grandwood Park Park District Community Center.  See below for directions.

To receive a registration packet, or if you would like more information, call the preschool at 847-356-1296 or email us at preschool@grandwoodpark.net.  Preschool registration packets will become available on the website for you to print on January 20th, 2012.
