Canines 4 Comfort transforms lives through canine companionship. We provide: \nPsychiatric Service Dogs: Trained to carry out essential tasks for individuals with mental health diagnoses. These specially trained dogs can assist with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, anxiety\, depression\, and bipolar disorder.   \nFacility/Comfort Dogs:    \n– Placed in schools to assist with classroom management\, de-escalate emotional situations\, and comfort students. \n– Placed with first responder teams to offer support during traumatic events\, help with witness and victim interviews\, and provide emotional relief to first responders. \nEmotional Support Dogs: These support animals provide companionship\, relieve loneliness\, and can help with depression and anxiety. The dogs placed by C4C are trained in basic obedience; they are not trained for public access or any travel training protocol.  \nThese trained dogs bring comfort\, stability\, and purpose. We offer comprehensive support\, including training\, education\, and care for our dogs and their human partners. \nCanines 4 Comfort provides life-changing services free of charge. Your generous donations help us continue our mission of comforting and supporting those in need.  \nOur efforts focus on training our existing dogs and fulfilling the needs of those on our waitlist. We cannot  assist with training dogs that have not been sourced or evaluated by Canines 4 Comfort staff. \nTraining Disclaimer: Canines 4 Comfort’s training program is exclusively for dogs sourced and assessed by our team. Canines 4 Comfort transforms lives through canine companionship. We provide: \nPsychiatric Service Dogs: Trained to carry out essential tasks for individuals with mental health diagnoses. These specially trained dogs can assist with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, anxiety\, depression\, and bipolar disorder.   \nFacility/Comfort Dogs:    \n– Placed in schools to assist with classroom management\, de-escalate emotional situations\, and comfort students. \n– Placed with first responder teams to offer support during traumatic events\, help with witness and victim interviews\, and provide emotional relief to first responders. \nEmotional Support Dogs: These support animals provide companionship\, relieve loneliness\, and can help with depression and anxiety. The dogs placed by C4C are trained in basic obedience; they are not trained for public access or any travel training protocol.  \nThese trained dogs bring comfort\, stability\, and purpose. A stove\, oven\, microwave\, and refrigerator/freezer are available for your convenience. DESCRIPTION:Canines 4 Comfort\n\nCanines 4 Comfort is a nonprofit organization (501(c)(3)) dedicated to providing trained dogs that support mental health and wellness.  \nHow We Are Helping\n\nRelationships that ‘heel’—Canines 4 Comfort is a 501(c)(3) that provides trained dogs to support mental health treatment and wellness. We offer these services within a 60-mile radius of Round Lake\, Illinois.  \nOnce trained\, our dogs are gifted to their new handlers. Canines 4 Comfort transforms lives through canine companionship. We provide: \nPsychiatric Service Dogs: Trained to carry out essential tasks for individuals with mental health diagnoses. These specially trained dogs can assist with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)\, anxiety\, depression\, and bipolar disorder.   \nFacility/Comfort Dogs:    \n– Placed in schools to assist with classroom management\, de-escalate emotional situations\, and comfort students. \n– Placed with first responder teams to offer support during traumatic events\, help with witness and victim interviews\, and provide emotional relief to first responders. \nEmotional Support Dogs: These support animals provide companionship\, relieve loneliness\, and can help with depression and anxiety. The dogs placed by C4C are trained in basic obedience; they are not trained for public access or any travel training protocol.  \nThese trained dogs bring comfort\, stability\, and purpose. We offer comprehensive support\, including training\, education\, and care for our dogs and their human partners. \nCanines 4 Comfort provides life-changing services free of charge. Your generous donations help us continue our mission of comforting and supporting those in need.  \nOur efforts focus on training our existing dogs and fulfilling the needs of those on our waitlist. We cannot  assist with training dogs that have not been sourced or evaluated by Canines 4 Comfort staff. \nTraining Disclaimer: Canines 4 Comfort’s training program is exclusively for dogs sourced and assessed by our team. This allows us to maintain program standards and ensure successful placements. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot train privately owned dogs.
